Testimony: Green Chair Project

“Deacon G, St John the Merciful is a wonderful collaborative partner with The Green Chair Project; your monetary gifts and furnishing donations have enabled us to serve more families while continuing your mission to help folks start over after experiencing homelessness and crisis. A brief synopsis of those who have benefitted form your sponsorship: Michelle came with Families Together. They became homeless when the home they lived in was condemned. For 100.00 she selected chairs, side table, desk, lamps and dishes, pots and pans, bathroom and bedroom linens for family of five. As well 4 new beds for her children. Alisha a victim of domestic violence came through Together and obtained 3 new beds for her children and picked out her living room and dinning room furniture all cookware and linens for herself and children. Ileana a homeless veteran furnished her new home for herself and son. Carolina an Interact client fleeing domestic violence was also able to furnish her apartment with living and dinning room furniture and dishes, pots and pans and dresser and 3 new beds for her children. And Warren a veteran who had been living on the streets now has an apartment with all the furnishings needed to begin again. Fondly, Kerry
