  • The Women's Center

The Women’s Center has been an established and welcoming portal of entry for homeless women for over 43 years. We provide a safe, low barrier, client-centered and trauma sensitive environment for women, where they can begin the stabilization and healing process.

  • The Green Chair Project

The Green Chair Project reuses essential furnishings donated by our community to help neighbors in need facing the challenges of homelessness, crisis or disaster. Lives change when families and individuals are nurtured and sustained in well-equipped homes.

  • South Wilmington Street Men's Center

In 2001, the County opened a newly renovated emergency and transitional shelter for homeless men that changed the way we offer services to the homeless population. The shelter provides some short-term emergency dorms with overnight shelter only, while other dorms offer longer-term shelter to men who engage in services. Those services range from case management, budgeting and credit counseling, mental health/substance abuse treatment and referrals to other programs. The goal is to provide safe shelter while the men develop realistic plans for moving out of the shelter, and into employment and housing of their own.

We are collecting aluminum poptop for The Ronald McDonald House.

  • Elaine's Table

  • Angels Hope and Joy

The Angels Hope and Joy are a youth ministry of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church whose mission is to lead the children into experiencing the Orthodox Faith. Participating in Angels Hope and Joy ministry allows our children to build a strong bond with their Orthodox friends and lays out the foundation and tradition of our Orthodox faith through worship, fellowship and service to the needy. The bond they create now with each other and Our Lord, Jesus Christ, will guide and strengthen them throughout their lives.

  • Heels for Healing

Donate your Heels for Healing! We are collecting gently used women’s shoes that are donated to the “Pass It On” thrift store run by Inter Act of Wake County in Raleigh, an organization that services women who are victims of domestic violence and abuse. The sales of the shoes and other items at this store cover costs for counseling for these women and their families. Since 2016, close to 800 pairs of shoes have been donated to this worthy cause.

  • Note in The Pocket

We provide clothing to students identified by various schools and social service agencies in Wake County.
